Effective date: November 5, 2026
Version: 1.0
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Politribe, including the Politribe mobile application, website, services, features, communities, and related functionality (“Politribe” or the “Service”).
By creating an account, accessing Politribe, or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy and any additional policies or community rules made available through Politribe.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use Politribe.
1. About Politribe
Politribe is a social networking platform built around communities called “Tribes”.
Users may create, join, follow, manage, and participate in Tribes, publish posts, repost content, comment, interact with other users, and use other social and community features provided by the Service.
Different Tribes may have their own rules, moderators, administrators, membership requirements, or governance structures. These local rules operate in addition to Politribe’s platform-wide rules.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 years old to create and use a Politribe account.
By registering, you confirm that the date of birth and other information you provide is accurate.
Certain content or features may be restricted based on age. Politribe may prevent minors from accessing content classified as sensitive or otherwise inappropriate for younger users.
We may suspend or remove accounts that provide false age information or attempt to bypass age restrictions.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity performed through it.
You must not:
- impersonate another person or organisation;
- create accounts using intentionally false or misleading information;
- access another user’s account without permission;
- sell, transfer, or misuse accounts;
- create accounts primarily to evade suspensions or bans.
You should notify Politribe if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. User-Generated Content
Politribe allows users to create and publish content including, depending on the features available, text, images, GIFs, files, links, comments, reposts, profile information, and other material (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of the content you create.
By uploading or publishing User Content to Politribe, you grant Politribe a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, process, resize, format, and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, improve, and provide the Service.
This licence ends when the content is deleted from Politribe, except where continued retention is reasonably necessary for backups, legal obligations, enforcement, dispute resolution, or security purposes.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to publish the content you upload.
5. Content Belonging to Others
You must respect the intellectual property, privacy, and other legal rights of other people.
You may share, quote, discuss, criticise, parody, or reference third-party material where permitted by applicable law.
Attribution alone does not necessarily give you permission to reproduce copyrighted material.
You must not knowingly upload or distribute copyrighted material in a way that infringes the rights of its owner.
Politribe may remove or restrict content following a valid intellectual-property complaint.
6. Prohibited Content and Behaviour
You may not use Politribe to publish, promote, distribute, request, facilitate, or engage in content or behaviour that is illegal or seriously harmful.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- child sexual abuse material or sexual exploitation of minors;
- sexual content involving minors in any form;
- non-consensual sexual content or intimate imagery;
- pornography or sexually explicit content prohibited by Politribe policies;
- credible threats of violence;
- content promoting or facilitating terrorism or violent extremist activity;
- content encouraging serious violence or criminal activity;
- illegal trafficking, sale, or distribution of regulated goods;
- scams, fraud, phishing, or deceptive schemes;
- malware, malicious files, or attempts to compromise the Service;
- targeted harassment, bullying, stalking, or sustained abuse;
- doxxing or publication of sensitive personal information without permission;
- hateful or discriminatory abuse directed at protected individuals or groups;
- graphic material whose primary purpose is to glorify extreme violence or suffering;
- spam, automated abuse, artificial engagement, or coordinated manipulation;
- impersonation intended to deceive or harm others;
- attempts to evade moderation, bans, or technical restrictions.
Additional restrictions may be described in Politribe’s Community Rules or other policies.
7. Sensitive Content
Some content that is not prohibited may still be classified as sensitive.
Politribe may blur, restrict, age-gate, reduce the visibility of, or otherwise limit access to sensitive material.
Users under 18 may be prevented from accessing or publishing certain categories of sensitive content.
Classification may be performed using automated systems, human review, user reports, or a combination of these methods.
8. Tribe Rules and Governance
Tribes may establish their own rules and moderation standards, provided they do not conflict with Politribe’s platform-wide Terms or policies.
Tribe founders, owners, moderators, and other authorised members may remove content, restrict participation, approve membership, or take other moderation actions within their Tribe.
Politribe does not guarantee that every Tribe will be operated in the same way.
Platform-wide rules always take precedence over local Tribe rules.
Politribe may intervene in any Tribe where necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law, or protect the integrity of the Service.
9. Moderation
Politribe may review, classify, restrict, remove, or disable access to User Content when we reasonably believe it:
- violates these Terms or other Politribe policies;
- violates applicable law;
- creates a safety or security risk;
- infringes third-party rights;
- constitutes spam or abuse;
- threatens the integrity or operation of the Service.
Moderation may involve automated systems and human review.
Automated systems may make mistakes. Where appropriate, users may request review of moderation decisions through the mechanisms provided by Politribe.
Where required by applicable law, we may provide users with information explaining why content or accounts were restricted.
10. Reporting and Blocking
Users may report content, comments, Tribes, or accounts that they believe violate Politribe’s rules or applicable law.
Politribe may investigate reports and take action where appropriate.
Users may also block other users through available in-app tools.
Submitting intentionally false, abusive, or repetitive reports may itself constitute misuse of the Service.
11. Illegal Content
If you believe content on Politribe is illegal, you may report it using the reporting mechanisms provided through the Service or through our designated contact channel.
Where required by law, Politribe may:
- remove or restrict access to illegal content;
- preserve relevant records;
- cooperate with competent authorities;
- provide information required by lawful requests;
- take action against accounts associated with serious illegal activity.
12. Reposts and Shared Content
Politribe allows content to move between contexts through reposting and similar features.
A repost may reference or display content originally published by another user while placing it within a different Tribe or context.
The original creator retains ownership of their original content.
Deleting an original post may affect the availability or appearance of reposts that depend on that content.
Users must not use reposting features to harass others, evade moderation, or systematically distribute prohibited content.
13. Privacy
Our collection and processing of personal information is described separately in the Politribe Privacy Policy.
By using Politribe, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.
These Terms do not replace or override any rights you may have under applicable data-protection law.
14. Paid Features and Subscriptions
Politribe may offer paid services, subscriptions, premium Tribe features, creator tools, verification services, paid communities, or other optional products.
The price, billing period, features, cancellation terms, and any applicable revenue-sharing arrangements will be displayed before purchase.
Paid features may change over time.
Unless required by law, purchasing a paid service does not exempt a user from moderation, platform rules, suspension, or removal.
Payment does not guarantee increased visibility, audience reach, engagement, or financial success.
Additional terms may apply to specific paid services.
15. Advertising
Politribe may display advertisements or sponsored content.
Advertising may be selected based on contextual information such as the Topic or Tribe in which content is being viewed, as well as other lawful criteria described in our Privacy Policy.
Sponsored content will be identified where required by applicable law.
Politribe does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, quality, or suitability of products or services advertised by third parties.
Transactions between users and advertisers are generally between those parties.
16. Intellectual Property of Politribe
Politribe’s software, branding, logos, interface elements, trademarks, original graphics, and other platform materials are owned by Politribe or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms do not grant you ownership of Politribe’s intellectual property.
You may not copy, reverse engineer, redistribute, sell, or exploit Politribe’s proprietary materials except where permitted by law or with our written permission.
17. Platform Integrity and Automated Access
You may not interfere with or attempt to compromise the operation of Politribe.
Unless expressly authorised, you may not:
- scrape the Service at scale;
- operate bots or automated accounts;
- circumvent rate limits or technical protections;
- probe or exploit vulnerabilities;
- overload Politribe infrastructure;
- manipulate engagement statistics;
- distribute malware or harmful code;
- access private data or systems without permission.
Responsible security research should be reported to Politribe rather than exploited.
18. Suspension and Termination
Politribe may temporarily or permanently restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary because of:
- violations of these Terms;
- repeated violations of Tribe or platform rules;
- illegal activity;
- threats to users or platform security;
- attempts to evade previous enforcement;
- fraud or payment abuse;
- legal requirements.
Where reasonably possible and legally required, affected users may receive information about the reason for the action and any available method of appeal.
Users may stop using Politribe at any time and may request account deletion through the available account controls.
19. Appeals and Complaints
Where Politribe provides an appeal or complaint mechanism, users may request review of eligible moderation decisions.
Appeals should be submitted in good faith.
Where applicable under law, users may also have rights to use certified out-of-court dispute resolution services or seek judicial remedies.
20. Availability of the Service
We aim to keep Politribe available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical failures, security incidents, third-party services, infrastructure failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Features may be added, changed, suspended, or discontinued.
21. Third-Party Services and Links
Politribe may contain links, embedded material, integrations, or content provided by third parties.
We are not responsible for the availability, security, privacy practices, content, or services of third-party platforms.
Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and policies.
22. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Politribe is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that:
- all content will be accurate or reliable;
- the Service will always be available;
- every violation will be detected;
- users will behave lawfully or appropriately;
- content moderation will always be error-free;
- the Service will meet every user’s particular expectations.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
23. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Politribe and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or purely economic losses resulting from use of the Service.
Politribe is generally not responsible for User Content, actions taken by other users, interactions between users, or third-party services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability arising from fraud, intentional misconduct, or other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
24. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or liabilities resulting from your unlawful use of Politribe, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.
This section does not limit mandatory consumer rights.
25. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Politribe develops, new features are introduced, or legal requirements change.
Material changes may be communicated through the app, website, email, or another appropriate method.
The updated Terms will state a new effective date and version number.
Where required by law, we will request renewed consent before the updated Terms become binding.
26. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or another jurisdiction providing mandatory consumer protections, nothing in these Terms deprives you of those protections.
Disputes may be brought before the competent courts as determined by applicable law.
